PADI Divemaster Course & Internship
Blue Explorers Dive Center offers training, education and Internships to become a Divemaster. Please contact us if you are interested in this course, and we will provide you with more information.

PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course)
If you are considering becoming a PADI Instructor then the Canary Islands and Blue Explorers are the perfect choice . As they are part of Spain, you need no entry visa for Gran Canaria and the other Islands if you hold a European passport. The flying time from the rest of Europe is never more than four hours. Gran Canaria is also accessible by sea. A regular ferry service runs between Cadiz on the southern tip of Spain and Las Palmas, the capital city.
- Duration of the course:3 to 4 days.
- 100 Dives*
- Current Medical Certificate
- PADI Divemaster or equivalent
- 6 Months as a certified diver*
- At least 18 years old
*With 60 logged dives and 6 months as a qualified diver the candidate can participate in the IDC but cannot be certified at an IE until they have met both requirements. Prerequisites for the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor Course are : successfully complete an IDC or be a certified PADI Divemaster and hold a current CPR and First Aid qualification. Prerequisites for IDC Staff Instructor are : be a current PADI MSDT

- November 27 and 28: IDC Staff instructor course;
- November 29th to December 4th (5 days): Assistant Instructor course (IDC 1st part);
- December 4th to 9th (5 days): Open Water Scuba Instructor course (IDC 2nd part);
- December 9th: Instructor Examination;
- December 11th: EFR Instructor course:
- December 12th: DAN Oxygen Provider and DAN Oxygen Instructor course:
- December 13th: Specialties.
